These days, kids have so many activities that it’s often hard for parents to keep track. Competitions, games, training sessions for sports, rehearsals and performances for music and theater, social outings, extracurricular courses - it’s all too much to keep track of. The best practice is to write everything down on a calendar. Then it’s easy to know if several events are taking place at the same time, and to manage everyone’s movements.
Put your calendar where the whole family can see it
You’ve printed out a calendar and it’s full of appointments. It won’t do any good if you hide it in a drawer. One good idea is to display it where everyone can see it. Of course, the fridge is always a good place. It’s not the only one, of course. There’s also a place near the front door, near the pocket drawer, or in the busiest corridor in your home.
Avoid overloading
Your tasks are piling up everywhere and you can’t remember them all. Free up your memory and avoid overloading yourself with planning. Write down everything you have to do on your calendar. That way, you won’t forget anything and won’t have to think about it all the time. Writing things down is the best way to clear your head.
Despite my best efforts to provide you with perfect calendars, errors do occasionally creep in. Please let me know.
