There are so many bills to pay, such as rent, mortgage, car, water and electricity, for example. Make sure your bank account always has enough funds to cover automated payments, by scheduling payment dates on a calendar. You can also make a list of bills each time you receive one, so that none of them disappear under a pile of mail.
Put your calendar where the whole family can see it
You’ve printed out a calendar and it’s full of appointments. It won’t do any good if you hide it in a drawer. One good idea is to display it where everyone can see it. Of course, the fridge is always a good place. It’s not the only one, of course. There’s also a place near the front door, near the pocket drawer, or in the busiest corridor in your home.
Cancel your trial subscriptions
We now live in a world of try-it-yourself subscriptions. It’s easy to subscribe to a new TV or streaming channel, there’s no shortage of online music programs, not to mention the major distributors of consumer goods. Subscribe for free for a few weeks or months and forget to cancel. Don’t ever do this again, writing the dates down on a calendar.
